A seven day course gives you the skills and know how to biuld your own bark
canoe while camping on a private lake in the gorgeous Gatineau hills.


Course Information:
We will build one 16' Chippewa styled canoe aver a busy but enjoyable week. In that time, all areas of birchbark canoe building will be covered, and participants will leave with enough skill and know how to build their own bark canoe.
Classes will be small, with a maximum of six to eight students.
A lottery will be held to give those who wish to buy the canoe (for an extra $1000 Cdn) a chance to take home the finished craft.

Course Dates for 2002:
Saturday Aug 10 to Saturday Aug 17.

Cost:
Cost of the course is $750 per individual,
$1400 for two people.
This includes all meals for a week as well as room to pitch a tent. (Please let us know about dietary concerns and preferences. Camping equipment rentals available.)
A $50 deposit holds your spot. Balance is required on location.
All prices are in Canadian funds.
Applicable taxes are extra.

Location:
Classes will be held on the shores of Long lake, in the Low township, Quebec. This location is about an hour from Ottawa Ontario. Directions will be mailed or faxed to participants.
We will be the only ones on this lake!!
