Vanessa Morgan

Vanessa MorganVanessa began singing and entertaining in California when she was six. She has appeared at community events, sang for the Arthritis Telethon, performed for Child Help U.S.A, and was a regular guest entertainer for the College of the Desert scholarship foundation.

She was spotted by a Hollywood agent in 1999 and earned a scholarship at a well-known Hollywood acting academy. Almost immediately, Vanessa began auditioning and acting in national and international TV commercials including singing with Ray Charles for an Olympic promo and running with Marion Jones for Panasonic.

Vanessa has a passion for live theater and was delighted to be a member of the On Stage Theater Company in California (1998-2000). Vanessa was commended for her solo vocal performance in "Wizard of Oz" and most recently in "Big River" where she sang solo and acted in the role as a young slave girl.

Vanessa returned to Canada in August 2000. Her first TV movie, "A Divas Christmas Carol", filmed in Montreal in October, featured Vanessa Williams in a scrooge-type story. Vanessa played a principle role as a young Vanessa Williams. The movie was released in the States.

Vanessa was very excited to recently join Dominic D'Arcy's Talent Development Program and looks forward to learning from such a renowned performer. She is presently taking vocal instruction at the Ottawa-Carleton Conservatory of Music & Vocal Performance Academy and can regularly be seen singing at the opening of the Ottawa 67's hockey games. To keep a healthy balance, Vanessa is also a member of the Ottawa Athletic Club's competitive NTA tennis program.
