Loons - Mother and Baby

This piece was more than a year in the making, in a sense. When I was asked to make it, I did not have a dark enough (or large enough) stone to make the mother loon. I had to wait until, with the help of my mother and some maps provided by the Ontario Ministry of Mines and Resources, I found a deposit of this stone in the woods in Hastings County.
