Application: Integrated satellite remote sensing and SPANS to monitor changes in landuse practices. Methods and concepts adopted by Environment Canada to map all of Alberta.


  1. Ontario Forest Resources Inventory and Satellite Remote Sensing (2 test areas, one near Sault St. Marie, one near Timmins).
Application: Update FRI database, applications for wildlife habitat, military concealment.

Application: To be integrated into a national database for the analysis of employment and immigration patterns.

Application: A series of databases consisting of hydrography, geology, structure, mineral deposits, for the application of digital prospecting.
