‘La Voix Jamaicaine’ – This is an hour long 1979 French documentary about the connections between art and religion in Jamaica. It contains good footage of Culture being interviewed and working in the studio (see above lp titled 'The Black Way'). The French overdubs are not really a problem, because there is never much doubt about what is being talked about. This film (part of the ‘Le Memoire du Peuple Noir’ series) also has interesting footage of Ras Michael, Miss Lou (Louise Bennett) and Queenie (Imogene Kennedy).
‘Live at Roselyn, New York’ – I’m sure this 1981 live concert video is a bootleg. The copy I’ve seen is lo-fi, low quality, but it does contain multiple camera angles, which would indicate it was intended for some sort of release. It is interesting to hear some of the early live arrangements of various songs, but this is probably only appealing to die-hard fans.
‘Culture Live At The Reggae Vibes ‘87’ – This one is official, but is not all that engaging. While this tape is 52 minutes long, it contains only 7 songs, which means the all of the tunes are extended. The quality is pretty good, and the video captures how Culture sounded in the late 1980s.
‘Reggae Sunsplash ’93 – International Night’ - Culture (Hill, Walker and various members of the Soul Defenders) play ‘See Them A Come’, ‘Two Sevens Clash’ and ‘Love Music’. This video also has good footage of Toots and Burning Spear.
‘Addis Ababa’ – Culture’s first music video. The video uses a combination of concert footage and images of Hill (taped on a California beach). Available on the DVDs 'Culture: Live in Africa' (RAS, 2002), and 'Real Authentic Reggae Bash' (RAS, 2002)
‘Riverside’ – This was the second Culture music video. Shot in Hill’s neighbourhood in Jamaica. Available on the DVDs 'Culture: Live in Africa' (RAS, 2002), and 'Real Authentic Reggae Bash' (RAS, 2002)
