Dome Mountain Desperadoes vs. Da Rock Swkadd

That's right the Skwadd are back for another season of snap cracklin' fun! Da Rock Skwadd as many will remember are the only Orcs to appear in ABBA recently and were on hiatus during the Woundstock: Summer of Pain tournament due to summer raids. When questioned on their absence, many replied that the raiding of Dwarven Mines, Skaven Ratnests and Elvish camps were best during the plentiful summer season.

After taking their fill of bounty the green boyz of pain were ready for some action. Hence, they marched into the Doom Mountain Desperadoes temporary stadium, ready for the warm-up against one of the new entries to the league. The Desperadoes are still young and this was evident in their fan base. At the Ok Coral where they staged their game 12,000 Desperado fans made it out with Da Skwadd dragging into town about 34,000 fellow Orcs on the way home with the spoils of war.

Da Skwadd were in for a shock when they were hit with the new league sanctions bringing their team from a healthy 264 rating to a whooping 338 rating with the hire of new Star Receiver Rangore Snatch. Rangore, Varag and Da Eliminator all combined drove the teams rating through the roof. This was a pleasent surprise for the Desperadoes who would enter the match at a rating of 116. The Desperadoes were prepared to make off with a hearty bag of money and MVPs if they could just last the wrath of the green horde. With a rumored 7 "Special Plays" in their cards the Desperadoes were set to upset the seemingly lazy Orcs who only carried 2 "Special Plays" into the match.

With the sun shining brightly, it was a beautiful day for a match. The Desperadoes team coach took an instant liking to the ABBA sanctioned referee, Ms. Honey Shagwell, and he swayed her to keep an eye on the Green Machine. The Orcs were pissed but they figured they would take their abuse out on Borak the Despoiler. With the obvious swaying of the ref by the Desperadoes, the Orcs would be upset when their junior thrower #13 Long Arm was diagnosed with a terrible flu. Some think he was actually occupied in

his tent with some "free ladies" offered by the Desperadoes, but those are just rumors.

The game began with a kick off to the Desperadoes. A Desperado beastman would try to pick up the ball repeatedly but he would continually fail which would quickly be his undoing as the Orcish line smashed up the field in pursuit of the ball. To the surprise of the Chaos forces, Skwadd Blitzer #16 Hurg Teeth Knocka Bulag would use the power of (RaKarths Bounding Leap) to jump the Chaos line, snatch up the ball and run it in for the first point of the game. The butterfingered Beastman was quickly chastised for his failure.

With the second kickoff, the Desperadoes would try to score a second time. This time a second Beastman, #55, would snatch the ball and make for the Orc endzone after a flurry of hitting. With only a small gap in the line the brave Beastman charged. Then with what seemed to be a strange slowing down of time #55 would run as if in slow motion towards the endzone to put the Desperadoes on the board (Time Warp was used).

Throughout the game the Orcs seemed to have a hate on for the Desperadoes newest fan player. Try as they might, each Orc would try throwing a hit on the little guy put he kept dodging or getting knocked out. Each kickoff he would hop off the bench and be ready to play another point. Let it be said that he is the luckiest Chaos fan to ever go against the green horde.

The Orcs would receive and quickly score a second touchdown in the first half. Then in the second the Orcs would receive and form a cage that quickly moved up the field. This would put he Orcs up 3 to 1 on the score board. The Orcs would use strength and determination to smash into the Desperadoes line on the Desperadoes next kickoff and would again steal the ball away. With the Orcs forming 2 walls they would split the field open and march up to the end zone. Then a quick breakout from number #16 and a long pass from #3 would bring the Orcs up to 4 to 1 in the last minutes of the game.

Noticeable trends besides smashing the Chaos fan was the continual beating that The Despoiler took. He would spend most of his game under a green shadow as the might of the Orc Wall of Green pushed into the Desperadoes end. Little game time in the Orc end would be seen by any Desperadoes as they seemed to adopt a safety in numbers approach to defense and offense. That said, they did manage to knockout one Orc Blitzer late in the first half. Also seen again was the Orc use of fouls. They were caught on many occasions and even lost their coach who contested one foul thrown late in the first half as #12 Da Claw tried in vain to send the Chaos new Fan player to a timely grave.
