Marie Kusters (B.Ed.) is a musician, teacher and mother of 3 active student musicians. She has taught elementary school and has also trained in early childhood education speciality.
Marie is fully trained in the Suzuki
Violin Method, has taught Suzuki violin, including Suzuki Headstart,
since 1986, and has offered the Kindermusik® program since 1993. She
is now a teacher trainer for Kindermusik International, in addition to
being a clinician at Suzuki Institutes in the Maritimes, Ontario and Quebec.
She is fully fluent in French and English, and offers a bilingual program
for those who prefer an English/French program.
In May 2003, Marie was named by Kindermusik International as one of only 12 North American Maestros in Masterful Teaching under the Kindermusik Educator Board Certification program.
Classes will be held in her home studio, mostly during school hours.* This offers your child a music class during the most receptive and responsive period of his/her day.
*The Ontario Education Act allows children to miss up to one-half day of school per week to attend extra-curricular music classes.
