Sitter visits are done between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm and are planned with your pet's well-being in mind.


For Major holidays, ( such as Christmas & New Year's Day, statutory holidays) a $5.00 surcharge applies.


Clients are welcome to use our "Key On Hand" program, where keys from the first contract are retained for the next sitting visit and reservations can be taken by e-mail or over the phone. Keys are coded and locked for security. We require two (2) keys to your home in case one fails.


Refunds are issued in full when New Moon is given four (4) days notice before cancellation. (In order for us to book another client)


Bookings that are cancelled without four (4) days notice, where the client has not paid in advance, are subject to a $25.00 + GST, cancellation fee. This fee must be paid before further bookings can be placed.


Key are picked up or dropped off in person only and a $5.00 charge applies. (Does not apply to new clients)


To avoid any accidents, all dogs will be walked on a leash.


The "Service Set-Up Meeting" is when we meet your pets in their environment, so we may evaluate your pet's personality and anticipate his/her behavior when we enter your house when you are not at home. We will also go over the details of the assignment and sign the contract.


Our insurance does not permit us to drive other people's tractors, so hay must be left in close proximity to the barn or feeding areas. (small square bales are ideal)


Water bowls must be working, or a water source must be conveniently available to fill buckets and/or stock tanks. In winter, heated buckets or tanks with heaters must be in place.


Bedding must be readily available and implements like manure or shavings forks handy.


Horses, ponies and any other animals expected to be handled must be wearing a well-fitting halter in good repair, and leads must be provided. Where the customer wishes the animals to be groomed or hooves cleaned, cross-ties must be in place and secure.


All outdoor areas where animals are to be turned out, indoor stalls and pens must be in good repair, without areas where animals can escape.


Feeding regimens must be clearly outlined in detail, per specific animal and attached to their stall or pen.


Feed must be stored in a confined area where the animals cannot access it.
