Any one who has decided to dedicate any part of their life to their passion, knows that most of the work and effort is largely unpaid.

This is especially true of working with pets. Pets are often viewed as unimportant and expendable in today's society. There are only a few strong voices that speak out for them and see that they receive the dignity they deserve. I am one of those voices. While many of you reading this agree with me totally on the treatment of pets, you may not be ready or able to take on the vast responsibility of being involved on a daily basis. The ride is not always a comfortable one, for every satisfying moment where a pet is saved or placed in a loving home, there are the pets I cannot save or home.

For every well-cared for pet, there is another that is suffering. By working with pet owners in regard to how they care and train their pets, many have better care and second chances. I try to do my best to make a difference. The strays and unwanted animals that cross my path are many, and I leave no stone unturned to improve their situations.

The reality involved is that gas, pet food and vet care all cost money. The time spent driving around, nursing sick pets, educating pet owners and caring for all the discarded pets that end up spending time with me, will never be paid for. The pets are the ones who benefit and truly understand what I do for them. Extra resources will broaden the choices I can make.
