This introductory workshop to landscape guides students through the creation of  a 4" x 6" meadow.   Students begin by using silk paints, textile paints and crayons to create their backgrounds.  Students can choose to either hand embroider or free-motion embroider their trees and shrubs.  Hand embroidery will be the focus in the foreground field of wildflowers.  Although each student begins with the same landscape, they have freedom in creating the mood of their sky, the colours of their hills and the choice and placement of flowers.
