Small Engine Tips
1.) Starting Procedures for Cold Start:
a.) Turn on fuel shut-off valve (counter clockwise)
*some machines do not have a fuel shut-off valve
b.) Set throttle to FAST or "Start" position and key (if present) to "On" position
c.) Set the choke to FULL CHOKE
(usually clockwise or pulled out position)
d.) Push primer bulb 2 to 4 times
e.) Pull starter rope sharply or engage electric starter
f.) Slowly reduce the choke as the engine warms up until choke is off.
(counter-clockwise or pushed in position)
Note: Some engines have a choke, some have a primer, and some have both.
2.) Check oil level before each use.
Oil is good for 25 operating hours then should be changed
5W30 for winter use and straight 30W in summer
3.) Operate your machine at FULL THROTTLE even for light duty.
It was designed to run at full throttle.
4.) Use fresh regular gasoline only. Stay away from hi-test.
Your gas should be less than one month old.
After a month dump any remaining gas from your jerry-can into your car and replace with fresh gas.
5.) When job is complete, run your snow blower auger for 30 seconds to clear all snow and ice.
Rinse lawnmower undercarriage with hose to remove grass build-up.

a.) Drain or use up all the fuel in the tank, Or add proper mix of fuel stabilizer
b.) Run engine until it stops in order to burn off fuel in the carburetor.
Store your equipment empty of fuel (or use fuel stabilizer)
