icscis...the Art School is in fact a virtual art school,
as its studios are located throughout the world. The painting and art history workshops are given
by professional artists, may they be painters, photographers, architects, etc.

All of our painting workshops are intended for

1) artists, whether novice or advanced , who desire to reflect upon
their art and need new visions, new challenges, in brief, a new commitment toward painting,
2) artists who simply wish to paint,
3) individuals who wish to explore the creative process through painting and
4) the "symbolic other" who wish to accompany their partner to an icscis workshop

either to enjoy the sites and the regional cuisine, or to explore their first encounter
with the painting medium. icscis' workshops include visits to important historical sites and exhibits.
Discussions concerning art history, theory and the creative process are professionally facilitated.
icscis also takes great pride in offering its participants a full culinary experience pertinent to the host country.
All this offered in a totally relaxed, stress-free and supportive environment.

icscis...the Art School is more; it is also a series of art history conferences which introduce
you to the art and architecture of the country in which you will be staying. Moreover, these lectures
are tailored to help you find your own personal path toward image-making.

Visits to Saint Peter Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and the Uffizi Gallery,
are along that path; as are a trip to Cézanne’s studio in Aix-en-Provence, picnicking en plein air while
painting at the base of one of Cézanne’s most reknowned subjects, Mont Sainte Victoire,
or canoeing the same pristine Canadian waters favoured by the Group of Seven, a group of Toronto
artists who helped bring modernity to Canadian art.
